Adopt a Tree in Thessaloniki

The City of Thessaloniki and the local branch of YMCA are calling on citizens to Adopt A Tree, as part of the city's new environmental awareness campaign. The action aims to raise awareness for and assist in the protection of urban green spaces in the city.

As of february 19, volunteers will distribute material and brief city centre residents and shop owners on the programme, encouraging them to adopt the tree in front of their house or shop. They will also provide knowledge about the city’s trees and of ways to protect them.
